It is a competition that is open to all ages and levels; repertoire may be from any historical period.
Only ONE original piece or ONE movement may be chosen for performance in front of the two judges and the audience.
Memorization is required. String students can participate too.
Up to 50% of participating students will be selected as winners to receive trophies, and all students will get written comments from the judges.
In addition to the trophies, there will be two Grand Prizes:
Junior Grand Prize (age 12 and under) – $100
Senior Grand Prize (age 13 and above) – $100
Teachers are expected to attend and help with event duties.
