The Alice Kitchen Competition honors the legacy of Alice Kitchen, a longtime MTAC West Los Angeles Branch member and cherished leader in the Santa Monica and West LA music education community. A dedicated teacher in both private studios and the Santa Monica schools, she believed deeply in the power of music to enrich lives and strengthen society. Through her generous bequest to the MTAC West Los Angeles Branch, Alice Kitchen’s endowment has funded scholarships for outstanding West Los Angeles Branch students since 1994. We remain grateful for her vision and generosity, which continue to inspire and nurture future generations of musicians.
